This is what is happening today to many<strong> Energy &amp; Utilities companies<\/strong>, which are having to face an epochal change dictated by the <strong>energy crisis<\/strong> but above all by EU policies to favour the use of <strong>renewable energy and reduce CO2 emissions<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>ButanGas<\/strong>, a Veroniki Holding Group company that has been marketing LPG gas for more than 75 years with a distribution network in the whole of Italy, also opened a new business unit a few years ago for the distribution of electricity, entering the Multiutility category. A very different market from that of LPG distribution: in the latter, in fact, the product distribution methods (installation of tanks for blocks of flats, businesses, etc.) require a link with the customer that in energy supply becomes much more weak. With the diversification of the business model, it was therefore also necessary for ButanGas to review the customer experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Reviewing the business model from a customer-centric perspective was our first challenge,&#8221; <strong>Riccardo Morandotti, ICT Manager &amp; Ciso of ButanGas<\/strong>, told EnergyUp Tech. &#8220;Before, we had very loyal, long-standing customers. Today we know that we have different needs: this is why the project we have completed with Intesa is part of a broader digitalisation process that has seen not only the digitalisation of contract signing, but also the implementation of a new CRM. Today, <strong>dematerialisation has become a &#8216;must&#8217;<\/strong>, because in order to expand in the market, customer acquisition must be made simple for the customer&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>ButanGas<\/strong> therefore turned to the I<strong>ntesa, Kyndryl Company<\/strong> t<strong>o integrate the CRM with a contract management and signing platform, Intesa Sign<\/strong>. Continues<strong> Morandotti<\/strong>: &#8220;We needed a simple product, which could be quickly interfaced via API and which at the same time gave us the flexibility to be able to manage the sending of contracts also in the &#8216;classic&#8217; way with signatures of various types, from simple to qualified, and which was compliant with Italian and European regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Intesa<\/strong> has implemented the<strong> Intesa Sign solution for ButanGas<\/strong>, managing the integration with CRM. In practice, from the company&#8217;s CRM it is now possible to <strong>generate a folder with all contractual documents<\/strong>, which are securely transferred to Intesa Sign. Then the customer can apply a simple electronic signature validated by an OTP. When the file has been signed by the customer, a workflow is started that notifies the second signatory, internal to ButanGas. The persons involved in this second step then affix a qualified electronic signature, for which a multi-year certificate was previously issued. At the end of the internal approval steps, the countersigned contract is automatically re-sent to the customer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the implementation of the solution, the benefits have been immediately evident: &#8220;The first important gain was in the <strong>timing of contract closing<\/strong>. With a territory coverage like ours, it used to take up to a week to ten days to get a contract signed. Now it takes one day on average, but it could take up to an hour. The second important return is that of the<strong> customer approach<\/strong>: signing a digital contract is something that absolutely must be present among the services of a company, and in our context it also means guaranteeing trust. To conclude, we have made our<strong> internal process much quicker and more efficient<\/strong>, and above all we have avoided wasting paper, which is very important for a company that sells energy today&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Morandotti<\/strong> concludes by listing the distinctive elements of Intesa&#8217;s solution: speed of integration, flexibility and simplicity: &#8216;Intesa in particular distinguished itself by its ability to listen, its ability to dialogue with technical figures, and it gave us the possibility to integrate quickly. I believe that solutions should be simple and maintainable over time, and from this point of view it was a really good choice. Un mercato molto diverso da quello della distribuzione di GPL: in quest\u2019ultimo infatti le modalit\u00e0 di distribuzione del prodotto (installazione di serbatoi per condomini, imprese etc..) implicano un legame con il cliente che nella fornitura di energia diventa molto pi\u00f9 labile. Con la diversificazione del modello di business,<strong> per ButanGas \u00e8 stato quindi necessario rivedere anche la customer experience.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab<strong>Rivedere il modello di business in un\u2019ottica customer-centric<\/strong> \u00e8 stata la nostra prima sfida\u00bb Racconta <strong>Riccardo Morandotti, ICT Manager & Ciso di ButanGas,<\/strong> a EnergyUp Tech \u00abPrima avevamo clienti molto fidelizzati e di lunga data. Oggi sappiamo di avere necessit\u00e0 differenti: per questo il progetto che abbiamo portato a termine con Intesa rientra in un percorso pi\u00f9 ampio di digitalizzazione che ha visto, oltre alla digitalizzazione della firma dei contratti, anche l'implementazione di un nuovo CRM. <strong>La dematerializzazione ad oggi \u00e8 diventata un \u201cmust\u201d<\/strong>, perch\u00e9 per espandersi nel mercato bisogna rendere l\u2019acquisizione del cliente semplice per il cliente stesso\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>ButanGas si \u00e8 quindi rivolta a Intesa, a Kyndryl Company per integrare il CRM con una piattaforma di gestione e firma dei contratti, Intesa Sign<\/strong>. Continua Morandotti: \u00abAvevamo necessit\u00e0 di un <strong>prodotto semplice, interfacciabile in maniera rapida tramite API<\/strong> e che al tempo stesso ci desse la flessibilit\u00e0 per poter gestire l\u2019invio dei contratti anche in modo \u00abclassico\u00bb con firme di vario tipo, dalla semplice alla qualificata, e che fosse compliant con la normativa italiana ed europea\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Intesa ha quindi implementato per ButanGas la soluzione di firma Intesa Sign, gestendo l\u2019integrazione con il CRM. Nella pratica, dal CRM aziendale \u00e8 ora possibile generare una cartella con tutti i documenti contrattuali, che vengono trasferiti su Intesa Sign in modo sicuro. Successivamente il cliente pu\u00f2 apporre una firma elettronica semplice avvalorata da un OTP. Quando la pratica \u00e8 stata firmata dal cliente si avvia cos\u00ec un workflow che avvisa il secondo firmatario, interno a ButanGas. Le figure interessate da questo secondo passaggio appongono poi una firma elettronica qualificata, per cui \u00e8 stato emesso precedentemente un certificato pluriennale. Al termine dei passaggi approvativi interni, il contratto controfirmato verr\u00e0 re-inviato automaticamente al cliente.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dall\u2019implementazione della soluzione, i <strong>benefici si sono resi da subito evidenti<\/strong>: \u00abIl primo ritorno importante \u00e8 stato quello delle <strong>tempistiche di chiusura dei contratti.<\/strong> Con una copertura del territorio come la nostra, per far firmare un contratto prima poteva volerci anche una settimana, dieci giorni. Ora in media ci vuole un giorno ma potremmo metterci anche un\u2019ora. Il secondo ritorno importante \u00e8 quello dell\u2019approccio al cliente: firmare un contratto digitale \u00e8 una cosa che deve essere assolutamente presente tra i servizi di un\u2019azienda, e nel nostro contesto vuol dire anche garantire affidabilit\u00e0. Per concludere, abbiamo reso molto pi\u00f9 rapido ed efficiente il nostro iter interno e soprattutto abbiamo<strong> evitato di sprecare carta<\/strong>, un elemento molto importante per un\u2019azienda che vende energia oggi\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Morandotti conclude elencando gli elementi distintivi della soluzione Intesa:<strong> velocit\u00e0 di integrazione, flessibilit\u00e0 e semplicit\u00e0:<\/strong> \u00abIntesa in particolare si \u00e8 distinta per la capacit\u00e0 d\u2019ascolto, la capacit\u00e0 di dialogare con le figure tecniche, e ci ha dato la possibilit\u00e0 di integrarci velocemente. Ritengo che le soluzioni debbano essere semplici e mantenibili nel tempo, e da questo punto di vista \u00e8 stata veramente un\u2019ottima scelta.
