Customers are prompted to take a few very simple steps: scanning their ID using their device\u2019s camera, and making a few small movements with their head in order to identify their face and profile. <strong>Behind those simple actions, and a breezy customer experience, is a technological infrastructure predicated on artificial intelligence, ensuring unambiguous identification<\/strong> that:<br \/>&#8211; Verifies that the documents scanned by the user are real and valid<br \/>&#8211; Compares the face of the person submitting the application with the photo on the ID using biometric facematching<br \/>&#8211; Runs a \u201cliveliness\u201d check to make sure that the applicant is a human and not a bot<\/p>\n<p>But the benefits don\u2019t stop there. <strong>In a recent interview with AziendaBanca*<\/strong>, Luca Pollano, Head of the Digital and IT Department at FCA Bank, noted: \u201cThe entire procedure is automated, and completed remotely and seamlessly in just a few minutes. There&#8217;s a dual benefit: <strong>improved customer experience, and back-office optimisation<\/strong> both on the dealership and on the bank sides. This ensures process security and tracking, as well as compliance with Italian and EU banking regulations.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Microservice Architecture<\/h3>\n<p>The platform is presented to the customer as a single, stand-alone interface, but <strong>the back office is made up of tiers of microservices that can be used one at a time<\/strong> by various bank departments. <strong>This ensures scalability and integration with other systems, available services and markets<\/strong>. In so doing, FCA Bank can extend the platform to loans for pre-owned cars, as well as to the French, Spanish, English, and German markets.<\/p>\n<h3>Advantages Across all Levels<\/h3>\n<p>The microservice structure <strong>serves to streamline back-office operations for dealers and bank alike<\/strong>. The bank can count on digital documents that are more accessible and easier to file.<\/p>\n<p>Another extremely positive impact of FCA Bank&#8217;s digital transformation came in the compliance arena: <strong>the self-onboarding platform complies with the very detailed rules for the KYC procedures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>From customer experience to back office <strong>to regulatory compliance<\/strong>: for FCA Bank, this digital transformation is just the start of a more significant trajectory to move car sales, which as yet continue to require a dealer, to an e-commerce model.<\/p>\n<p>During that same interview as cited previously,* <strong>Pietro Lanza<\/strong>, General Manager of Intesa and Blockchain Director for IBM Italia, noted: \u201cWe are starting <strong>on this path towards innovation side-by-side<\/strong> with our customers. La collaborazione tra FCA Bank e Intesa (Gruppo IBM) ne \u00e8 l\u2019esempio: ecco la storia di successo dell\u2019azienda del Gruppo FCA.<\/p><p><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-41130\" src=\"https:\/\/www.intesa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Articolo_FCA-Bank.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"420\" \/><\/p><h3>La customer experience \u00e8 pi\u00f9 di ci\u00f2 che si vede<\/h3><p>FCA Bank ha iniziato il suo percorso nel 2018. \u201cLa soluzione giusta al momento giusto\u201d si potrebbe dire, perch\u00e9 <strong>da aprile 2020 FCA Bank ha iniziato ad offrire ai clienti una modalit\u00e0 di richiesta di finanziamento totalmente digitale<\/strong>, che pu\u00f2 essere avviata e conclusa da remoto e in modalit\u00e0 self (senza bisogno di assistenza di un operatore).<\/p><p>Durante la procedura, il momento dell\u2019identificazione del cliente \u00e8 un passaggio chiave: viene richiesto di eseguire delle azioni molto semplici, dall\u2019inquadratura del documento di identit\u00e0 con la fotocamera del proprio device a piccoli movimenti della testa finalizzati ad identificare i tratti del volto. <strong>Dietro alla semplicit\u00e0 delle azioni e alla customer experience scorrevole, c\u2019\u00e8 per\u00f2 un\u2019infrastruttura tecnologica che fa leva sull\u2019intelligenza artificiale per un riconoscimento certo<\/strong>, che \u00e8 in grado di:<br \/>- verificare in tempo reale se i documenti inquadrati dall\u2019utente sono validi e non scaduti<br \/>- confrontare il volto della persona che sta eseguendo la procedura con quello della foto sul documento tramite facematching biometrico<br \/>eseguire una verifica della liveness per controllare che chi sta eseguendo la procedura sia una persona vera e non un bot<\/p><p>Ma i vantaggi della soluzione non si fermano qui. <strong>In una recente intervista ad AziendaBanca*<\/strong>, Luca Pollano, Responsabile Digital e ICT di FCA Bank, ha affermato che \u00abL\u2019intera trafila \u00e8 automatizzata e si conclude a distanza, in pochi minuti e senza soluzione di continuit\u00e0, con il duplice beneficio di <strong>migliorare l\u2019esperienza del cliente e di ottimizzare le procedure di back-office<\/strong> sia presso i concessionari sia lato banca, garantendo la sicurezza e la tracciabilit\u00e0 del processo, nonch\u00e9 la conformit\u00e0 alla legge e ai regolamenti bancari nazionali ed europei\u00bb<\/p><h3>L\u2019architettura di microservizi<\/h3><p>La piattaforma \u00e8 presentata al cliente come unica e stand-alone, ma <strong>a livello di back-office \u00e8 composta da molteplici microservizi utilizzabili singolarmente<\/strong> dalle diverse aree dell\u2019istituto bancario. <strong>Ci\u00f2 garantisce la scalabilit\u00e0 e l\u2019integrazione con altri sistemi<\/strong>, servizi offerti e mercati. In questo modo FCA Bank potr\u00e0 estendere la piattaforma anche alle richieste di finanziamento per le auto usate, cos\u00ec come al mercato francese, spagnolo, inglese e tedesco.<\/p><h3>I vantaggi distribuiti su pi\u00f9 livelli<\/h3><p>La strutturazione a microservizi consente lo <strong>snellimento delle procedure di back-office sia per i concessionari che per la banca stessa<\/strong>, che potr\u00e0 contare su documenti digitali pi\u00f9 facilmente consultabili e archiviabili.<\/p><p>Altro, importantissimo aspetto su cui la trasformazione digitale di FCA Bank ha influito positivamente \u00e8 <strong>l\u2019adeguamento normativo<\/strong>: la piattaforma di self-onboarding, infatti, risponde alle esigenze ben precise dell\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.intesa.it\/che-cose-il-kyc-e-perche-adottarlo\/\">adeguata verifica del cliente bancario<\/a>.<\/p><p>Dalla customer experience al back-office fino all\u2019adeguamento normativo, <strong>l\u2019avvio di questo percorso di trasformazione digitale \u00e8, per FCA Bank, solo l\u2019inizio di un pi\u00f9 ampio obiettivo di full e-commerce<\/strong> per la vendita delle auto, ancora molto legata all\u2019intermediazione dei concessionari.<\/p><p>Nella stessa intervista sopra citata* <strong>Pietro Lanza<\/strong>, General Manager di Intesa e Blockchain Director di IBM Italia, ha affermato: \u00abIntraprendiamo <strong>insieme ai nostri clienti percorsi innovativi<\/strong> che ci vedono affiancarli non solo nella ricerca delle soluzioni migliori, ma soprattutto nel disegno delle<strong> possibili evoluzioni del loro core business<\/strong>\u00bb.<\/p><p><em>* Fonte: Il finanziamento per l\u2019auto?
